I recently created a poster and logo set for a new choir set up in Midleton, Ireland called Midletones. The poster was needed most urgently for print and social media, so I worked on this first. I kept the overall design simple, but used bright colours, gradients and textures to make it stand out. I also made sure to incorporate some music elements, and present the text in a way that a reader would naturally consume it (left to right).
I decided to go for a less girly approach with the logo, and kept the colours neutral with blue and brown tones. Given the alternative style of the choir, I felt a vintage microphone would be the most suitable graphic. While the ‘Midletones’ font is cursive to illustrate the choir’s quirkiness, ‘the pop and rock choir’ tagline is a serif font for contrast purposes.
I loved working on this project as it was fun and so different to anything I had worked on previously. If you are looking for anything like this, get in touch! 🙂
